Sara's take on the country tour

I was really impressed by the tour (http://www.wildwicklow.ie/). Our guide Dennis was so passionate and just had great energy which I love since I pick up the energy of others so easily. He talked the whole time, not just about the sites but also about really interesting stuff like learning Gaelic or Irish dancing as a kid or how to make the perfect Irish Coffee. He interacted with everyone on the bus and really facilitated a welcome, family like atmosphere. And he was funny. We crammed a lot of sites into one day. We saw the Irish Sea (a moment of silence for Billie), golf courses, Bono (of U2) and Enya's homes, old hotels, lots if sheep, mountains, redwoods, glacial lakes, farms, villages, bogs, woods, ruins, cemeteries it was packed!

While I thoroughly enjoyed the whole day I especially loved seeing the hills dotted not just with sheep but cute galloping lambs. :) my favorite though was our 2 mile hike. It began in a cemetery dating back to the 1400s and went through a valley rainforest so lush it appeared as if green rain had fallen and covered everything in a green spongy layer. There were little brooks and waterfalls tucked away around every bend. The whole while we had these massive rick cliffs towering to one side and heavily wooded mountains to the other. I know it was one of those moments and experiences that I will never be able to accurately describe nor will photos capture, but it's imprinted in my mind forever. The hike ended at a small lake and a mini squall went over as we reached it causing large white caps to appear and umbrellas to be pulled out and most flipped inside out with the force of the winds. In all if 4 minutes it had passed and the sun was back.

I have many stories to go with the beautiful photos we took, but that's all I have to say for now.
