Jeremy's take on the country tour

Stardate: 66794.6

People in Dublin take their hot chocolate very seriously. Pastries too man, they don't play around. So good.

The tour was awesome, our guide Dennis was a good guy. It was good to smell the sea, but I think Sara was crazy to touch it, it was freezing! I can't believe Billie dove in, I still feel bad about that, I had just met her and I still miss her. Mom would've loved this one stop, it had a greenhouse and lots of plants that she would love to look at here but back home would be her enemy :) the sequoia was amazing, but it's funny that I had to come to Ireland to see one. Ha. It was crazy how quickly we went from the city/villages to just nothing. In the bog it was empty, we didn't even pass cars but for every 30 min or so. It kept getting colder, but we got lucky cause it only rained while we were on the bus, the weather was really nice, our guide kept taking extra detours because the sun made for such great views. We stopped at what he thought was the 8th wonder of the world, a lake and house in a valley owned by the Guinness family, the lake looks like an overturned pint of Guinness. The wind on the bluff overlooking the lake was so strong that I swear if I jumped it would've swept me away. He gave us shots of Jameson here and nicknamed me 'Florida' :) lunch was a pleasant surprise, my bacon wrapped stuffing filled chicken was good and they even had veg lasagna for Sara. The next stop was our walk through the woods which was my favorite part, the views were amazing, I kept stopping to take pictures to where Sara finally had to move me along. By the way her point and shoot has this fantastic feature where it shoots a panoramic, I love that setting! On the drive back the guide put on this music that sounded like Angels singing, it was weird. It made me sleepy. Then at the end our Italian seat neighbors were trying to make a 7:30 flight, why they booked an all day your scheduled to end at 5:30 I don't know. But we were running behind because of the great weather and they started stressing. The guide was great though, he got them a taxi which was a really nice thing to do. Overall the tour was great, I (and I think Sara and I know for sure my Mom) could spend days exploring the villages we went through, or even in the park we hiked through alone. But given how much time we have here the tour was a great way to get out of the city. In fact now that we're back I'm almost overwhelmed by how close everything is, it's all on top if each other. There are a lot of people on Dublin.
