Rain on Stained Glass

It is so COLD and WET today! The museum we tried to go to was closed and with the rain we decided to go to a chapel we knew would be open,  Saint Chappelle. Of course there was a long line so we stood in the rain for nearly an hour to go through the metal detectors. We finally get to the entrance of the church to find there is an 8,50 euro entry fee. Grr, but we've come this far right? So we paid and went in to a small chapel, it was pretty and all but nothing super impressive, certainly not worth the wait and the fees....until we went up the spiral stairs to the main chapel and then, holy cow!

It has these crazy high stained glass windows with some of the most complicated and ornate panels I've ever seen. Each told the story of a book of the Bible, at least that's what we read but we couldn't make any of the stories out ourselves. It was worth the wait.

Unfortunately with the weather and our now numb feet we couldn't think of anything else to do that could beat the idea of our nice toasty apartment. So here we are, warming up and resting and watching the rain fall on Paris outside our windows.

We're not done for the day though, once warm and rested we'll get back out there. Megan has yet to see the Eiffel Tower lit up and we still have Parisian delicacies to eat!
