Texas 200 - Day 3

Tonight we're sitting on an oyster beach with the rest of the Texas
200 gang by the camp fire, having boat drinks fixing peoples broken
boats. Luckly, Jay's Sunbird is performing great and it's the other
people's boats that are breaking. We had another amazing sail today
after getting off the dock by 5 am and getting a jump start ahead of
the thunderstorms. We sailed in the clear while everyone else got
dumped on. The wind held steady again at about 10 to 15 knots all day.
It was the best sail we've had on the trip. We were even the first
ones to get to the campsite. The pictures show the sunset over the
beach and Chris infront of the boat. We've also got our little
charging station that we stuck off in the corner so we didn't have to
listen to the generator run. Burt was having a great time as Jay was
stearing the boat with his foot. Overall a great day, though we did
get a lot of sun and our camping beach is not the best. Tomorrow we
are going to go all the way to the end instead of stopping for another
night at another bad camp site. We're having a great time sailing
during the days and even though the sun was hot and relentless, the
weather has been great. Stay tuned for the last day's update tomorrow
night.
