There's no place like home...

We got on the flight to MCI super easily and it was about to push when the pilot announced that the flight was canceled. Grr! Apparently there were wind storms over night that caused all sorts of power outages in Kansas City. The next two flight looked open...until they cancelled those too. Luckily there was a flight a short bit later to Omaha, NE. So we took the 45 min flight and rented our car there and drove the last 3 hours south to our destination of Topeka. Pic of my feet relaxing through the NE prairie.

Our B&B is...interesting, very infused with the owner, Elizabeth's, personality. It's a Victorian era historic home that she's done up almost gothic in style. Since we're her only guests she gave us our pick of the room. We chose the Masters suite, the bed is 4ft off the ground, even Chris needs a little step up :) Words can't describe this place, more pictures when we arrive home, one for now to help you visualize.

Now we're at the Blind Tiger Brewery for some BBQ and beer. Elizabeth offered to let us sleep in tomorrow, breakfast at 11am, sweet!
