I thought that an unusual guy like Sam Cleman's AKA Mark Twain would have a neat house and it didn't disappoint. Stenciled walls and ceilings, themed rooms and lots of room for his kids. Fireplaces with windows over them (chimneys on either side diverted the smoke). His bed had a huge, ornate headboard from Venice with angels on the posts that he loved to look at and let his girls remove to use as dolls. With 5 dinner parties a week he was the ultimate networker!
The tour was very interesting, I learned a lot about the man and the times. Mom enjoyed the lego portrait they had of Sam.
It was a pleasant final stop before leaving Hartford, Connecticut for home. Connecticut - check.
