Wandering Cadiz...slowly

The train ride to Cadiz was pleasant, though we did discover that all if the hiking through the cobblestone, billed streets of Cordoba yesterday, combined with our bike ride on Inis More last week have irritated both the ruptured disc in my lower back and the bone spur in my neck. The result has been a rather slow moving Sara.

Our hotel here is average but the staff has been nice so that helps. After dumping our bags we set out to explore. Cadiz is one of the oldest towns in all of Western Europe so theres bound to be some cool stuff. We found Genovese Park which is full of plants from The New World by Christopher Columbus as well as an odd unexplained dinosaur exhibit.

We managed to find a fabulous place for lunch and both enjoyed scrumptious pasta dishes before making our way back for a siesta.

For dinner we found the Cadiz Cathedral and enjoyed tapas in its plaza before strolling along the water for a ways. Early to bed in hopes that my back is more cooperative tomorrow.

  1. Dinosaurs, huh? Well you said it was one of the oldest cities in Western Europe. | By the looks of the die on the shoreline, I'm guessing they are "big" gamblers. | Beautiful sunset. Makes me wish I was there.
